WASHINGTON, April 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Learning Systems

(GLS), a leading eLearning solutions provider of off-the-shelf and

Training course that incorporates scenario-based learning and

threats to information security.

"We are excited to announce the release of this new learning program

as targeted social engineering and phishing attacks are increasingly

impacting organizations worldwide," said Larry Cates, President & CEO

of GLS. "This scenario-based training is designed to challenge and

test users to promote improved awareness, best practices and

ultimately lead to behavior change. This training program can be

utilized as a key resource within the compliance training library and

also as part of an overall social engineering and targeted phishing

testing and assessment program."

The 25 minute, online anti-phishing training is sure to make an

impact, as recent reports indicate attackers are still posing as

trusted organizations (such as recognized web services providers,

phone companies, and banks), to gain the trust of individuals in these

sophisticated attacks. Attackers are also using multiple channels of

communication such as phone calls, emails or text messages to engage

the victim. GLS firmly believes employee awareness of such attacks is

vital to maintaining individual and organizational security.

This course has three rounds, and in each round, learners are

challenged to recognize a variety of phishing and social engineering

attacks, choosing the safest course of action. Based on their

responses, the program will take them on a specific learning path to

build awareness. The training course can be combined with simulated

attacks, posters, quick reference cards, and newsletters to provide

multiple channels of communication to raise awareness across the

organization, providing a complete anti-phishing program.
