SALT LAKE CITY -- A Bountiful man was charged with attempted murder in connection with a gang shooting in South Salt Lake City last week.
Police said 26-year-old Michael Genova was sitting at a bus stop at 500 East and 3300 South last Wednesday when he saw the victim driving by in a car. He pulled a gun out of a lunchbox he was holding and fired into the vehicle -- hitting the victim in the stomach.
The victim drove St. Marks Hospital -- where doctors removed the bullet and released him.
Genova was taken into custody when police spotted him a short distance from the scene of the shooting.
