(KSL News) West Valley police have arrested a suspect wanted for shooting a 15-year-old boy in a restaurant parking lot.

Police caught 21-year-old Ivan Torres late last night after finding his car abandoned on the side of the road. The say Torres and the teen were fighting in the Panda Express parking lot at 4600 South and 4000 West yesterday evening when the teen pulled out a machete and Torres pulled out a gun.

Officers say Torres shot the teen three times. The teen is now in critical condition, and Torres is in jail.
