SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah Highway Patrol says a Heber City couple was killed and their children injured when their car spun out of control and rolled on an icy mountain highway.

Trooper Cameron Roden says 35-year-old Carrie Provost and 42-year-old Gregory Provost were killed Tuesday night on State Route 40 near Park City. They were ejected from their car. Greg Provost died at the scene and Carrie Provost died on the way to the hospital.

Roden says investigators are trying to determine whether the couple was properly wearing seat belts and whether they were driving too fast for the road conditions.

The couple's children -- a 10-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy -- were buckled up properly in the back seat and suffered minor injuries. Roden says they were taken to Primary Children's Medical Center.
