On KSL.com, we asked you to share your thoughts with us on Tuesday night's presidential debate. We wanted to know who you thought won the debate and why.
Let us say upfront this is an unscientific poll, but it does give us an idea of what issues resonated with you the voter. If you were undecided, did Tuesday's debate help you make up your mind? If not, why not? Here are some of the answers that came into KSL.com.
There's not much time left for the candidates to sway undecided voters, and for Dave in Springville, he wasn't sold on either. "Both need to work on their issues. [The debate] was not as informal as I think it should have been," he wrote.
But Bob in Ogden made up his mind on Tuesday's debate not because of what was said but what wasn't said. A war veteran, he says he will vote for McCain because, "I have not heard anyone say anything about the war veterans. A lot of these veterans are suffering from some serious health issues. They need to get the disability that they deserve."
But Linda from Provo wanted specifics on the economy that she says she didn't hear from McCain. As an Obama supporter she writes, "I am concerned about the actual issues that need to be addressed: How does the United States of America gain its independence from debt and energy?"
So who won the debate? According to our unscientific poll, of the more than 900 people who voted at ksl.com, 60 percent say Barack Obama won, 35 percent say John McCain won, and 5 percent say neither man came away a clear winner.
