The mother of an under-aged driver will face charges in a crash that killed a four-year-old boy in Saratoga Springs.
Cooper Mardesich died last month after he was struck on his bike at a school bus stop. The driver who hit him, a neighbor of the boy, was an unlicensed 15-year-old, and he'd been warned before about driving without a license.
Now Regina Tausinga is being charged with negligent homicide, not having insurance and permitting an unlicensed driver to take her van.
Police say the teen has not yet been charged, but if he were to be, it would come through the juvenile court system.
