Cryptosporidium has returned along the Wasatch Front. But so far this summer, the outbreak is not in the public pools.

The Weber-Morgan Health Department confirms five cases in one month; four involve contact with farm animals.

"Farm animals drink their water out of ditches with, perhaps, secondary water that's not treated," said Gary House, director of the Weber-Morgan Health Department.

House says the fecal matter can be found on an animal's fur. "Just by petting animals, we can get the organism on our hands," he said.

House says there is usually only one case a month. He says to avoid crypto, wash your hands after touching an animal.
