(KSL News) Firefighters have contained two fires burning in Utah County.

A wildfire near Payson in Santaquin Canyon burned 10 acres since midnight yesterday. The cause of this fire is unknown.

Fire investigators say a fire that started yesterday in Spanish Fork Canyon was sparked by an unattended campfire. Crews have contained the fire, but not before it consumed about seven acres.

Fire crews hope to have a wildfire in the Dixie National Forest contained sometime tonight.

The Bear Creek Fire has burned more than two square miles since Thursday. The blaze quickly spread with dry trees and land as its fuel.

Investigators are still trying to determine a cause, but they believe it was human-caused.

Fire officials say even though plants and trees may not look dry, once vegetation ignites, the blaze will burn anything in its path.
