(KSL News) A 5-month-old boy who was left in a hot car in Layton last week has died.

On June 17, Daniel Hadley's mother forgot he was in the car and left him there for approximately two hours while she did some computer work at a friend's house. When she returned to the vehicle, he was unresponsive.

The baby was transported to the hospital to be treated, but passed away on Friday, June 20.

The Davis County Attorney's Office is screening the case and will decide if charges will be filed.
