LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Logan officials want the Willow Park Zoo to stop relying on city funding to operate.
With Logan solely managing the zoo, the city says it doesn't intend to use its tax dollars to help pay for the facility.
Rich Anderson, the city's finance director, says it's unlikely the Zoo will have any funding in the city's upcoming budget, which will be presented to the Logan Municipal Council next month.
The zoo had been receiving funding from the county and the city, but the city now manages the zoo because of a recent agreement.
