(KSL News) In a press conference this afternoon, South Salt Lake Police Chief Chris Snyder stressed the hard work of volunteers and authorities helped bring closure to 7-year-old Hser Nay Moo's family.
Authorities found the girl's body in an apartment in the same complex where Hser Nay Moo lived, and police booked 21-year-old Esar Met into the Salt Lake County Jail today in connection to the murder.
Police had issued an Amber Alert for Hser Nay Moo Tuesday morning. She was reported missing Monday night.
The Amber Alert system has helped investigators across the country locate missing children, sometimes with a tragic outcome. Tonight we learned more about the Amber Alert system when Paul Murphy, spokesman for the Utah Attorney Genera's Office, joined us for our Talking Point segment.
