Tom Callan and AP reporting An earthquake shook the Wells, Nev. area this morning.
According to the USGS Web site, the quake hit at 6:16 local time at the epicenter, and had a magnitude of 4.2.
The quake was centered 11 miles east-northeast of Wells and 47 miles northwest of Wendover. This area is also about 150 miles away from Salt Lake City.
Wells Mayor Rusty Tybo says the city is planning a big fundraiser on Saturday to help with the recovery effort from the first quake.
Located about 60 miles west of the Nevada-Utah line on Interstate 80, Wells was hit by a 6.0 magnitude earthquake on Feb. 21. There were no injuries in that quake, but hundreds of homes were damaged, and much of the town's historical district suffered severe damage.
