FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- Look for futuristic flying fish this summer at Lagoon.

The new OdySea ride will be ready for riders this April when the park opens. The $3 million attraction spins its occupants in gondolas shaped like fish over a pool of spraying water. Riders can use a joystick to move through the spray.

Park engineer Dal Freeman says the ride is mechanically complex. It's based on a similar machine at Tivoli, an amusement park in Copenhagen, Denmark.

It is made by the German company Zierer. It was tested in Europe before it was shipped in parts to Utah to be permanently installed.
