OGDEN — A fire at an apartment complex in Ogden burned two units and caused $70,000 in damage Monday.
Firefighters responded to an apartment fire at 454 Canfield Road in Ogden about 4:15 a.m., according to Ogden Deputy Fire Chief Eric Bauman. Crews quickly searched the complex and evacuated those inside. No one sustained any injuries in the blaze.
Seventeen firefighters made "an aggressive fire attack" to extinguish the flames, Bauman said. The fire crept through the attic wall of the apartment, which caused minor damage to the adjacent unit, but crews were able to extinguish the flames before they reached other units in the building.
Those who were displaced were able to stay with family. Investigators were working Monday to determine the cause of the fire.
