Man robs Zions Bank; police ask public for help

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is seeking help from the public to find an alleged bank robber.

A man robbed the Zions Bank branch located at 1635 S. Redwood Road Friday around 4 p.m., according to Salt Lake City police. The man allegedly walked into the bank and demanded money from the teller.

The robber is described as a white male in his mid-20s who is 5 feet 11 inches tall with a slim build and weighing about 180 pounds. He also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck.

At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a white shirt, a purple plaid flannel shirt, light blue jeans and a black knit beanie.

SLCPD is asking anyone who may know the identity of the man to call 801-799-3000. Anonymous tips may also be made by texting TIPSLCPD plus any relevant information to CRIMES (274637).
