TAYLORSVILLE — Unified police hope the public can help identify the man who robbed a bank Tuesday.

A man walked into U.S. Bank at 4135 S. Redwood Road in Taylorsville at 9:36 a.m., stated "this is a robbery," and then demanded money, Lt. Justin Hoyal of the Unified Police Department said in a news release.

The suspect jumped over the counter, had the teller open the cash drawer, and took the money out of the drawer. He then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured.

Investigators don't know whether the robber got into a vehicle outside the bank. They said he did not display any weapons during the robbery.

Police responding to the robbery searched for the robber, who is considered dangerous, but did not find any suspects.

He is described as a Caucasian male, 5 feet 11 inches tall with a possible tattoo or mark on his left hand. He was wearing light blue pants and a grey hoodie with a black mask.

If anyone has any information as to the identity of the robber or information about the robbery, they are asked to contact the Unified Police Department at 385-468-9814.
