Alex Cabrero and Marc Giauque reporting Police successfully spoiled a major burglary ring in the Salt Lake Valley.
Salt Lake police--along with departments from West Valley, Taylorsville, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms--exposed the ring that may be responsible for over 100 burglaries in the Salt Lake Valley.
On Monday, police arrested Miguel Andy Marquez, Tory Gallegos and two teenagers for allegedly breaking into a home in Salt Lake.
During a following interview one the suspects confessed his involvement in burglaries of approximately 110 homes around the valley.
He also led them to nearly 20 other suspects.
Police say the suspects looked for homes that appeared to be unoccupied during the day. They would knock on the door, and if there was no answer, they would kick in the door and rob the place.
