(KSL News) A teenager in Centerville didn't listen to warnings and was hit by an SUV this morning.
The accident at 2110 N. Main about 7 a.m.
The 15-year-old boy crossed the road apparently to catch a school bus that was going south on Main Street. The bus had stopped on Main Street, but according to witnesses, the driver of the bus warned the boy not to cross there.
The bus did not have any flashing stop lights going prior to the accident.
Police say there are no indications that the SUV was driving too fast. The road had recently been plowed but was still slick and icy. The driver of the SUV attempted to stop but due to icy conditions was not able to do so.
The boy was thrown several feet. He suffered several injuries, including a broken leg.
