PARK CITY — Police are trying to piece together the details of what could be an assault on a woman that took place in broad daylight in a residential area of Park City. Neither the victim nor the suspect can be found.

At about 5 p.m., police received several calls about what appeared to be an assault happening in the street in the Park Meadows area of norther Park City, according to Capt. Phil Kirk with Park City Police.

Witnesses said they saw a man get out of a older model tan Suburban or pickup truck and assault a woman in the street, Kirk said. The woman ran from the area and the man drove away.

Police are still looking for both the victim and the suspect. Looking at hospitals and talking with other sources has not turned yielded any information on their whereabouts or the possible crime.

Details and descriptions of both the victim and the suspect are scant, and witnesses only saw the incident from inside their homes, Kirk said.

The woman was described as a Hispanic with long dark hair, and carrying a bag. There may have been a second man with the driver.

Police are asking for help in putting together the story of what happened and finding those involved. Anyone with information can call dispatch at 435-615-5500.
