CEDAR CITY — Police are looking for a man they say robbed a bank in Cedar City early Tuesday afternoon.

At about 1:30 p.m., a man walked into Mountain America Credit Union at 1701 W Royal Hunte Drive. Police said he handed a teller a note demanding money, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.


Anyone with information can call Cedar City Police Department at 435-586-2956.

Cedar Middle School, which is close to the bank, was placed on lockdown by the Iron County School District.

The man is still on the loose and police are seeking help in finding him.

The possible suspect has been described as a Caucasian man in his 60s, about 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing faded blue jeans, a green baseball cap and a green jacked with a tan collar.
