Donna Pead and her daughter can never fully explain the terror of being sandwiched being two semi trucks. But what they will tell you is that in the midst something so unspeakable, a miracle happened yesterday.

Looking at the pictures, it's hard to believe there was a second chance for Kathy Pead and her mother Donna.

Yesterday a barbeque grill fell off the back of a pickup truck on I-15 in Utah County. The driver stopped on the freeway to get the grill. Other drivers saw him walking on the freeway and stopped, including the Pead family.

But a big rig did not see what happened and slammed into the line of cars, crushing a mother and daughter into semi in front of them. Donna's legs shot out the front window.

Donna Pead, Accident Survivor: "And this one was pinned with the glass. I saw all the car just mashed around us. I couldn't believe that we weren't hurt any worse than we were."

Kathy Pead, Accident Survivor: "I didn't even realize the car was that bad, until I got home last night and saw the picture. How did I walk out of the hospital with only twelve stiches?"

Donna and Kathy Pead didn't even have a broken bone.

Kathy Pead, Accident Survivor: "One of my favorite songs is "Angels Among Us" and I believe it now. There are definitely angels among us."

It's truly a survivor's story. As for the man who hit them, they say, "No hard feelings."

The Peads hope the man in the semi will come forward so they can talk with him. As for the man who lost his grill on the freeway, they're not angry at him either; they're just so thankful to be alive.
