(KSL News) Utah Highway Patrol troopers will be working hard this holiday weekend to stop drunk drivers.

The Utah Auto Dealers Association donated $5,000 to the law enforcement effort this weekend. The money will help pay to put more troopers on the road.

The nationwide campaign to crack down on drunk driving actually started two weeks ago and continues through Labor Day.

In addition, AAA of Utah is once again offering its "Tipsy Tow" program to celebrators who need a ride. It is open to everyone.

AAA says when people call the hotline and ask for a Tipsy Tow, it will send a truck to pick up the person and his/her car and take them home.

AAA will offer the service to impaired drivers from 6 p.m. on Monday, September 3, until 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 4. Just call 800-222-4357 (800-AAA-HELP). Tell the AAA operator, "I need a Tipsy Tow," and a truck will be sent to pick you up.
