ST. GEORGE — Police arrested nine adult males on Thursday as part of a prostitution sting.
The nine men, who range in age from 24 to 61 and hail from neighboring states of Colorado, Arizona and Nevada, as well as two from within Utah, were arrested after police received information that they were "patronizing prostitutes" and had "arranged to solicit sexual acts in exchange for money," according to St. George police officer Johnny Heppler.
He said the arrests are part of an ongoing effort to investigate prostitution solicitation in the area.
The men were booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility in Washington County. More information will be available from Heppler on Friday.
