SALT LAKE CITY -- A Utah boy got a big surprise Wednesday -- the gift of mobility.

Kevin has learned to function quite well at age five, considering he was born without limbs. He spends most of his time rolling on the floor and has a wheelchair for when he needs it.

But his family had no way to transport the wheelchair -- until now.

Steve Walquist has lived most of his life without a limb. Earlier this year, Walquist walked with his crutches from Salt Lake City to St. George to raise money for a new van for Kevin's family, complete with a lift for Kevin's wheelchair.

"We're just excited about being able to get a van that will service their family and it's going to do a great job for them," said Steve Wahlquist.

Wahlquist says the extra money he raised will go to Kevin and the Limbs for Life Foundation. He hopes to raise more money to help other kids missing limbs.
