NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Pelicans coach Monty Williams says forward Ryan Anderson is returning to the lineup against Dallas after missing a game with swelling and soreness in both ankles.
The 6-foot-10 Anderson is averaging 14.7 points per game this season while shooting 41 percent. But his accuracy from the perimeter — normally his strength — declined sharply during his previous his past four games, when made 11 of 46 shots, hitting at a rate of 24 percent.
Williams says Anderson appears to have gotten enough rest by sitting out last Friday night's game at Minnesota.
While Anderson returned on Sunday, New Orleans was without point guard Jrue Holiday, who is expected to be out two to four weeks with lower right leg injury.
