MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut is sitting out his fourth straight game with an injured knee.

The team now describes his right knee tendinitis as bone edema and chondromalacia. The Warriors updated Bogut's condition shortly before Tuesday night's game in Memphis.

The 7-foot Bogut had his knee drained and sat out back-to-back games last weekend. He left a win at Minnesota with the injury early in the first quarter Dec. 8.

Edema causes bone marrow to swell and absorb fluid and can be very painful.

Bogut is averaging 7.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 20 games for the Warriors (21-2).
