THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) - The Yugoslav war crimes tribunal has postponed delivery of its verdict in the long-running trial of Serbian ultranationalist Vojislav Seselj after one member of the three-judge panel hearing the case was removed.
The delay in the scheduled Oct. 30 delivery of the judgment in Seselj's trial is the latest fallout from last month's removal of Danish Judge Frederik Harhoff from the U.N. tribunal to prevent any appearance of bias.
That happened after an email letter he wrote criticizing some of the court's recent decisions was circulated widely.
Seselj is charged for using hate-laced speeches that allegedly incited Serb rebels to commit atrocities in Bosnia and Croatia. His trial began in 2007. Seselj, leader of the Serbian Radical Party, denies the charges. Prosecutors have demanded a 28-year sentence.
