LAS VEGAS (AP) — According to her spokeswoman, entertainer Pia Zadora is resting comfortably at a Las Vegas hospital with serious injuries after a fall from a golf cart near her home.
Spokeswoman Eileen Koch says the singer-actress remained in intensive care at University Medical Center.
Zadora suffered a head injury and a compound ankle fracture in a fall from a golf cart driven by her teenage son near their Las Vegas home on Thursday evening.
Koch says Zadora hopes to travel to a Los Angeles hospital for ankle surgery after her condition improves in the next week or two.
Zadora was a child Broadway actress and appeared in movies before becoming a singer of popular standards.
The accident prompted the cancellation of her upcoming performances in Las Vegas.
