OGDEN — After Wednesday's Purple and White Scrimmage, whispers of expectations and hopefully-fulfilled promise were heard amongst the crowd of Weber State fans who watched the annual event in the Dee Events Center.

After the scrimmage, several Wildcats players joined head coach Randy Rahe to discuss their thoughts on the event.

Head coach Randy Rahe

Q: After tonight, where is the team at, as far as a progress report of where they should be? Are they ahead, or behind?

A: "I think we're on pace. The new rules this year helped us get on pace, because everybody can start practicing sooner so we should be ahead of where we were last year. And, we are ahead of where we were last year. But, I think we're on pace with where we need to be.

Q: What did you like best?

A: "The crowd being there. The enthusiasm in this building- happy, really happy to get them back in this building."

Q: What were your thoughts on your performance, tonight?

A: "I thought I needed to rebound more and I thought I needed to make more plays for my teammates. Other than that, work on my defense."

F/C Joel Bolomboy, Sophomore

Q: What did it feel like tonight to get a couple dunks and get back in the flow?

A: "It's definitely been awhile to play in front of a crowd, and in front of our fans that support us. But, it felt good- I was just out there playing and I was just trying to dunk. I was trying to dunk everything, really."

Q: What's been the biggest advancement in your game since last year?

A: "I have two. One, I put on weight- so, that helps a lot because I'm going to have to play a lot more five [center]. I'm more offensively skilled, so that helps a lot more too.

"I have a couple more moves, and the ball is going into the net more."
