ST. GEORGE — Two separate crashes reported within hours of each other left two St. George police patrol vehicles damaged, one significantly, after both were struck at two intersections on St. George Boulevard within a 24-hour period last week.

The second crash was reported early Friday morning. Officers responded to the intersection of North 1000 East and St. George Boulevard on a two-vehicle crash involving a green Lincoln four-door sedan and a St. George police patrol vehicle.

Sgt. Lucas Alfred with the Washington County Sheriff's Office told St. George News that neither driver reported any injuries when emergency personnel arrived at the scene.

What they did find was a heavily damaged Lincoln partially blocking the intersection facing north in the southbound lane of 1000 East, while the patrol vehicle came to rest near the median.
