SALT LAKE CITY — Utah opens up conference play on the road in Tempe, Arizona, on Saturday against an Arizona State team that is coming off a bad loss to Eastern Michigan and is in flux after head coach Herm Edwards was fired on Sunday.

We sat down with Arizona writer Doug Haller from The Athletic to get his take on all that's happened this week since Edwards was fired, as well as what he believes will happen this Saturday.

"I think the energy in the building is going to have to be just unlike what we've seen the last few years," Haller said of Arizona State's chances to beat Utah. "There will be an adrenaline rush to start, because that's what happens after a coaching change — everything's new and everything's better.

"It makes for a good story right now. But I think they're going to have to force turnovers, make plays on special teams — a block or punt; something that goes off script a little bit and really shifts momentum, and I think it's going to have to happen early in the game to get the team confidence, because that Eastern Michigan game is one of the worst losses, probably, in the last 25 years for Arizona State football."

We also preview some other games of relevance this week around the country as Week 4 gets ready to kickoff.
