SALT LAKE CITY — A bicyclist suffered serious injuries after being hit by an RV Friday morning, authorities said.

The crash took place shortly after 11 a.m. at the intersection of 3300 South and 300 West near the I-15 southbound on-ramp, South Salt Lake police told KSL.

The bicyclist did not see the RV coming and collided with it, police said. The cyclist, who has not been identified, was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in serious condition, according to police.

Impairment is not suspected as a factor in the crash, police said.

According to South Salt Lake officer Danielle Croyle, the bicyclist has been transferred to Adult Probation.

No updates are expected on the condition of the bicyclist.
