OGDEN — Five people are in the hospital for injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Riverdale Road and 36th Street, police say.

South Ogden Police responded to a call around 6:45 p.m. reporting a two-vehicle crash. According to officials, a red Hyundai was attempting to turn left from Riverdale Road to 36th Street collided with a black Toyota. Witnesses told police that the black Toyota had the right of way.

Five people were injured and went to the hospital, three of them by ambulance. Police on scene said they believe one person in the red car had serious injuries. There is no word on the condition of all those injured.

Both directions of Riverdale Road at 36th Street and Grant Avenue were closed for about an hour.
