HUNTSVILLE — Several people stopped to help a motorcycle rider after a crash, but were unable to resuscitate him Saturday.
The 60-year-old Clinton man was traveling westbound on state Route 39 in the Monte Cristo area near the Weber and Rich county line and failed to negotiate a turn, causing him to crash.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Brandon Whitehead said the man was initially conscious, breathing and talking to the bystanders that stopped to help. Later, he went into cardiac arrest and first responders were unable to resuscitate him.
Whitehead said the man was wearing a helmet.
The victim's identification was not immediately available.
