6 injured in Duchesne County plane crash

ROOSEVELT, Duchesne County — Six people were injured in a small plane crash near Moon Lake on Friday morning, Duchesne County Sheriff’s officials said.

One man was flown via medical helicopter to Utah Valley Hospital with serious injuries that authorities said did not appear life-threatening.

Another man, two women and two teens were transported via ambulance to Uintah Basin Medical Center with unknown injuries, officials said.

The Cessna T210M took off Friday morning from Roosevelt and started experiencing engine problems when the aircraft was near Moon Lake. It crashed south of the lake near a campground, deputies said.

The crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
