ENOCH — A Parowan man died after a rollover crash on I-15 in southern Utah early Friday morning, authorities said.

The crash took place just after 4 a.m. on southbound I-15 near Enoch in Iron County, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The man's car, a 1994 Mercedes-Benz, drifted over the white line on the right side of the road, according to a UHP news release. The man overcorrected and crossed both southbound lanes, UHP said. The car went into the median and rolled.

The driver, who was the only person in the car, was fully ejected from the car and died at the scene, UHP said. He was later identified as Daniel W. Haynie, 55, of Parowan.

It is not clear if he was wearing a seatbelt during the crash.

As of 9 a.m., there were no delays in the area, according to the Utah Department of Transportation website.

Further details about the crash were not immediately available Friday morning.
