OGDEN — A 32-year-old man was booked into jail Saturday morning in relation to a shooting that left a man dead Friday night.

Jonathan Francisco Delgado, 32, was arrested on suspicion of murder, a first-degree felony, according to Weber County Jail records.

The arrest follows a shooting and a standoff that occurred in the area of 26th Street and Adams Avenue just before 5 p.m. Friday, according to Ogden police Lt. Brian Eynon.

Eynon said officers were already in the area conducting an unrelated investigation when they heard gunshots coming from outside an apartment complex.

Steven Snider, 37, died at the scene from his injuries.

Eynon said Delgado then engaged in a four-hour standoff with officers, which ended without incident just before 9 p.m. Friday when Delgado surrendered peacefully.

The incident remains under investigation.
