YOUR FRONT PORCH — You can hardly be a human being alive in the world and have zero experience with door-to-door salespeople.
Back in the day they sold you everything from encyclopedias, vacuums and even secondhand lions, if you believe the movies. Nowadays people come a-knocking at our doors to ask us to switch our cable providers or to buy magazine subscriptions.
Most door-to-door salespeople are polite, some are not, but we can all agree that they have terrible timing and are generally annoying.
Instead of posting a cheap "no soliciting" sign on your door to keep the salespeople at bay, an energy company in New Zealand has a new way to keep sales people off your porch. (It is ultimately a commercial to let their market know they don't employ door-to-door salespeople.)
I will let you watch and experience it without any more preamble, but let's just say Jacob Marley's haunting of Ebenezer Scrooge has nothing on this video.
