SALT LAKE CITY — The family of a missing Provo woman, Elizabeth Salgado, has a new message. They recently published a video to YouTube, a desperate message to Elizabeth and to anyone who could have taken her.
The YouTube video features many women in Salgado’s family, pleading to her possible abductors.
“We just want them to put themselves in our place. Have compassion on her,” one relative said.
Salgado's weary mother gave a tear-filled message.
“We just want whoever has her to let her go,” said Libertad Edith Salgado-Figueroa.
Salgado-Figueroa also offered a message of forgiveness to those who may have her.
Speaking to Salgado, her relatives said they will continue to pray and hope for the day when they will see her again.
Just last week the Salgado family had a glimmer of hope when they received a phone call from a man in Mexico claiming to have Salgado. Mexican authorities, however, discovered the call was just an attempt to extort money from the family.
Meanwhile, it's been nearly two months since Elizabeth disappeared, and her family, as you can see from that video, shows no signs of giving up until she is found.
