LEHI -- A Lehi doctor has been arrested on suspicion of voyeurism. Police say he hid a camera in an exam room.

Dr. Steven Pack brought his attorney with him to the Lehi Police Department Thursday morning as he was questioned by detectives, who then booked him into the Utah County Jail.

"The hidden camera was used to obtain pictures that were inappropriate. One of the victims who came forward actually discovered the camera in the room, and that's when she called us," said Lehi police Lt. Darren Paul.

Police began investigating Pack back on July 31 after two employees of the Mountain Medical Urgent Care told police they had found the camera.

The employees, who are in their teens, told police that Pack asked them to test out some X-ray equipment and were told to change their clothes in a specific exam room. They found the camera inside the exam room on a wall.

"During the course of the investigation, the officers recovered recording equipment and also digital images," Paul said.

Pack also faces charges of evidence tampering because investigators believe he tried deleting the images.

The doctor faced charges in 2006 involving prescribing controlled substances--a case which was resolved in a plea in abeyance. Just three months ago, the Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing board voted to end his probation early.

It's possible Pack could face new sanctions on his medical license if the voyeurism allegations are substantiated.

Pack posted bond within an hour of his arrest and was released from jail. Formal charges against him are expected sometime next week.
