SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police arrested a woman accused of doing cocaine and marijuana with her teenage daughter, who was hospitalized for a possible overdose.
The 35-year-old woman was booked into jail Friday, and her 15-year-old daughter was taken to a hospital, according to a Salt Lake County Jail report.
The daughter, who arrived at her mom's house on Oct. 16 to visit, did drugs on Thursday and Friday, the report states. The mom "allowed the drug abuse to occur and also participated in the act."
On Friday, police received a tip about possible drugs being consumed at the house and responded. The report does not indicate who called police.
The officers were invited into the house, where they found the 15-year-old girl had "consumed marijuana and cocaine" and "complained of not feeling well and was possibly overdosing," the report states. The girl was taken to a local hospital where police say she was "stable."
Three other adults, who also "participated" in doing drugs, and three other children who did not, were also present, according to the report.
