MURRAY — One man is dead and a suspected shooter has been arrested following a fatal argument in a Murray apartment building Sunday.
Police responding to a report of shots fired at the Iris Apartments, 4865 S. State, just after 4:30 p.m. found the man with a single gunshot wound, Murray Police Sgt. Marvin Barlow said.
The gunshot victim was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
Police took the person they suspect to be the shooter into custody at the scene, Barlow said.
Investigators believe some kind of argument preceded the shooting but did not give additional details.
The names of the victim and the suspected shooter were not released as police work to notify next of kin.
The entrance to the Iris Apartments abuts the Desert Star Playhouse. No productions were scheduled at the comedy theater and restaurant for Sunday.
