PROVO — The Utah County Sheriff’s Office has closed parts of the Provo River trail due to flooding concerns.
Sgt. Spencer Cannon of the sheriff’s office said the Provo River trail is closed above and below Canyon Glen Park due to the river undercutting the trail and causing erosion.

Cannon advised that people should avoid using the Provo River Parkway trail as well due to high water washing out the trail.
The Utah Central Water Conservancy District is trying to divert some of the water outside the canyon, Cannon said, though he was unable to say where the water would be diverted to.
