YOUR HEART (AND WALLET) — If you’ve ever been accused of excessive frugality for using a coupon on a date, you’re in good company.

According to a recent study by NerdWallet and OkCupid, only about 5 percent of online daters consider money and wealth to be “very important” to them in a relationship.

In fact, the Salt Lake City metro area was ranked No. 23 in the nation for highest percentage of online daters who found money or wealth “not important at all.” So if you’re thinking of taking that special someone out for a night of economically-priced romance, you’re in luck.

Here are five Valentine’s Day date ideas and deals for those who want to spend big and for those who want to save a little money:

Ballet West presents “The Sleeping Beauty”

“The Sleeping Beauty” returns to the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake City from Feb. 10-26 with an enchanting retelling of the classic fairytale. Ballet West is a Salt Lake-based company and has performed in its home state for more than 50 years.

Couples looking for a romantic night at the theater will need to act fast to get tickets, which start at $20.

Park City Restaurants offer Valentine’s Day date-night specials

If you want to kick things up a notch and dine somewhere a little fancier while not completely breaking the bank, many Park City restaurants offer deals and discounts for Valentine’s Day, though they do tend to lean on the pricier side.

The Brass Tag at the Lodges at Deer Valley will have their dinner menu on offer ($28), while Flanagan’s on Main ($98), Grub Steak ($39.75) and Tupelo ($95) offer couple specials for the big day. Fireside Dining will also offer a trio of specials.

California Pizza Kitchen, Chili’s and Olive Garden offer “sweet deals for two”

If you’re feeling like Park City might not be your style on the big night (or you’re looking for something more in your budget), there are plenty of other chains offering deals for two on Valentine’s Day.

California Pizza Kitchen is offering a meal for two for $35 that includes one appetizer, two entrées and one dessert. Chili’s is also offering three courses and two margaritas for $35 or two entrées for $22 (though customers should contact their local Chili’s for specifics) and Olive Garden is getting in on the fun with a special to-go dinner starting at $34.99 with a soup or salad, breadsticks, a sharable entrée and two desserts.

Thanksgiving Point’s Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance

Thanksgiving Point is hosting a Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance on Feb. 14, complete with live music, a fancy dinner, dancing and more. The tickets start at $58 in advance and $70 if you want a rose at your seat. The tickets will cost $65 the day though Thanksgiving Point members can receive a 10 percent discount.

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium Kisses and Fishes

It's all about kisses and fishes at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper. What better way to light up that spark than dinner for two near a 300-thousand-gallon shark tank? Lovebirds can also enjoy a 4D theater and dance the night away to live music. Tickets start at $179.95.
