EAGLE MOUNTAIN — Police are searching for a 15-year-old boy who they say was last seen Thursday morning.
Utah County Sheriff’s Office officials said Alexander Hashida was last seen leaving his home near Eagle Mountain Blvd. and Lake Mountain Road in Eagle Mountain at approximately 7 a.m., to go to school.
Police were then alerted Thursday night when he didn’t return home.
"Family found a note left by Alexander which said he was going to simply walk where the land took him," according to a statement released by Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon.
Police said efforts to track Hashida’s phone indicate that he may be in either the Eagle Mountain or Saratoga Springs area.
He’s described as 5-foot-7 and 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
Police believe the boy did not take any food, money or credit cards with him when he left.
Anyone who may have any information regarding Hashida is encouraged to contact the Utah County Sheriff’s Office at 801-794-3970.
