SOUTH OGDEN — Two people were killed in what police are calling a double homicide, and a third person was injured following a shooting Friday night.
South Ogden Police Sgt. Will DeHart confirmed there was a shooting in the area of 3600 South and Adams Avenue and that it was being investigated as a double homicide.
South Ogden police said in a statement that both deceased victims and the injured person are males, though their approximate ages were not released. The injured male was "seriously" hurt and transported to a hospital, the agency said.
Officers were dispatched to a home shortly before 8 p.m., where they found the deceased victims, according to South Ogden police. Crime scene technicians were there late Friday, conducting an investigation into what happened. The homicide task force assisted in that effort.
Other details about the case were still being gathered late Friday night. Police didn't provide any information about the possibility of outstanding suspects or a possible motive behind the incident.
The names of the victims also were not released Friday.
