SALT LAKE CITY — Former Ute and current Oakland Raiders cornerback Sean Smith is beginning to live up to the four-year, $40 million contract he signed with the team earlier this year. The NFL vet recorded a crucial interception for the Raiders early in the fourth quarter of the win over Tennessee, jumping a slant route over the middle.

Another former Utah local, Kansas City defensive back Daniel Sorensen joined in the fun. Part of a defensive melee that turned the Jets over eight times, Sorensen recorded one of Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's six interceptions. The former BYU defensive back also managed two pass deflections and two tackles in the 24-3 victory.

Former Utah State linebacker Bobby Wagner capped the state of Utah turnover fun with an interception, seen in four unique perspectives here on the Seahawks' website.

In other news, BYU's NFL contingent lost another of their ranks this week as former Cougars running back Paul Lasike was waived by the Bears Sept. 20. Lasike, a one-year man, will likely be looking to solidify any rosters needing a fullback.
