Police ID 18-year-old man killed in SLC shooting

SALT LAKE CITY — Police have identified an 18-year-old man who died in an alleged homicide at an apartment complex Saturday night.

Police responded to a report of gunshots during an incident at Sky Harbor Apartments (221 N. Sun Harbor Terrace) around 9:30 p.m.

Salt Lake police said Eric Padilla was visiting a friend who lives in the complex and was shot and killed.

Police said Saturday night that they are searching for a Hispanic man wearing all black in connection with the shooting. Few other details about the incident have been made available.
