BOISE, Idaho — A bus driver in southern Idaho has been fired after a video of her pouring water on a student and telling him to speak English surfaced on social media.

The North Side Bus Company confirmed Saturday that Mary Black had been let go following the incident.

The video posted Thursday involves Jerome Middle School student Miguel Martinez, who says Black confronted him after he accidentally dropped a water bottle on the bus.

The eighth-grader says Black grabbed the water bottle from him and poured it on him because she thought he had been pouring it on other students.

Black can be heard in the video demanding that when Martinez speak to her he do it in English. She says, "I live in America and it's an English-speaking country."

Jerome School District's superintendent says he's aware of the video.
