SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police asked for help Thursday to locate two men who they believe are connected to a “robbery gone bad” that left one man dead.

Lucas Troy Neilson, 36, and Alfredo Lolani, 25, should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department. Investigators said the two men, who are both documented gang members, are suspects in the murder of 31-year-old Mauricio Martinez.

Martinez was found dead in the passenger seat of a car that was in the parking lot of the Mountain America Credit Union, located at 6440 S. 3000 East in Cottonwood Heights, on the morning of May 27. Investigators said he was fatally shot in the neck.

Two other men, Jorge Arturo Castanon-Serrano, 35, and Marco Antonio Garcia, 25, were also charged with murder and aggravated robbery Friday in connection to the case. Investigators described it as a “robbery gone bad."

Anyone who has information about Neilson and Lolani’s location can call 801-799-3000 or send an anonymous tip via text to 274637, starting with the phrase TIPSCLPD. Members of the public should not try to approach the men.

Police said if the men want to turn themselves in, they can call 801-799-3000.

Investigators described Neilson as being a white man who is 6-feet tall and weighs about 215 pounds. Lolani was described as a Polynesian man who has long braided hair and is about 5-feet-11-inches tall. He weighs about 240 pounds.
